An auspicious message from Venerable Baddiya Bhante on New Year 2019

An auspicious message from Venerable Baddiya Bhante on New Year 2019

Dear Victor, Actually I'm too lazy to write a long wish/message for new year.

The fact is I wish you a happy, prosperous & peaceful life not only during new year, but everyday in every prayer. Because you are so special to me.

May your life be filled with complete peace and prosperity.

Wish you a very very Happy New Year 2019

May you be happy, be peaceful and be prosperous with your near and dear.

May Buddha Dhamma & Sangha always bless you.

My reply to Venerable Baddiya Bhante:

Respected Venerable Bhante,

At the outset please accept my respect and salutations. Your message has reached me at the right time.

Just since a few days I was trying to read the book The Buddha and His Teachings written by Narada. So in the book it is written that Lord Buddha could see with his divine eyes people who need his blessings and spiritual teachings. And he did not wait for them to come to him but rather he himself used to visit those people with his divine powers who needed His help and His spiritual guidance. In our modern times the need of the hour is great religious and spiritual  leaders like you respected Bhante.

I was engaged in politics for a very long time and was depleted spiritually for quite some time. So your message has made me feel very refreshed and revitalised. As a blessing in disguise I am very happy to get some time for myself away from politics after many years.

Today also I was taking to my brother about you. I also always keep you and your kind words in my thoughts and prayers.

I once again thank you Venerable Bhante for your most auspicious message.

As a new year resolution for 2019, I want to keep Buddha's teaching and spirituality as first priority.

Please accept my respect and salutations. I seek your blessings for me and my family. On the auspicious time of the new year I also pray for peace and happiness for our society and all living beings in the world.   🙏🙏🙏

I wish you a very happy New year 2019.

Warm regards,
Victor

Join me in my whatsapp group

My dear friends,

In this fast-paced Information Age, it is very important to be able to communicate information with our friends, and our near and dear ones swiftly and effectively. The fastest and more reliable and most popular medium of communication is currently via Whatsapp. And the best part is that we are also able to readily connect with each other via the contact numbers if we really need to talk it out. There is also safety from FAKE IDs because there is a valid registered mobile number linked to each user. So my favourite channel of short and quick communication and to share information is WhatsApp. It is also possible to share important information and updates regarding varios issues and topics and photos and pictures within a large group of friends as well via Whatsapp Groups.

But often if the number of group members increases and a lot of debates discussions and arguments go on, on, and on, totally non-stop, than it becomes a disturbing and annoying...and a big headache...(lol) 🤣🤣🤣😃😃😃😃. So please kindly excuse me that currently due to lack of time, it is not possible to regulate and monitor the large number of comments in the groups...so, to avoid any inconvenience to my valuable friends and to avoid awkward and undesireable contents currently the comment feature is restricted to Admin only. But in appropriate time we will have all the features activated for all our valuable friends.

Thank you and lots of love,

Words are forgotten, but memories remain.

Words are forgotten, but memories remain. 6th Sept 2014, I cannot forget this day 4 years ago when we took a stand for our Chakma Jaad and submitted a memorandum to Government of India to stop the illegal headcounting census of our  Chakma Jaad in Mizoram. I am satisfied that this memorandum was very impactful and by the intervention of the Ministry of Home Affairs the illegal headcounting was cancelled based on our representation. I am proud to be a part of the delegation team including veteran politician and social workers Shri Indralal Chakma, Shri Sujya Sen Chakma, Smt Snehadini Talukdar Chakma, Shri Shanti Bikash Chakma and Shri Victor Talukdar Chakma.

Please forgive me if I have hurt you.

I admire and respect all our Chakma leaders and elders who are very senior to me. They may be in Congress Party, MNF Party or now BJP Party. If my actions or words have offended anyone or have hurt them at any point of my life, I really apologise from the bottom of my heart for my mistake or my ignorance. I have joined social works in around 2008 and joined electoral politics in 2013. Now I have completed almost a decade in social works and about 5 years in electoral politics. I have made a lot of friends and admirers during the time of social works but during my last 5 years of electoral politics, knowingly or unknowingly I have also made many enemies as well. But honestly, in my personal experience I do not like to make enemies at all. But it is very difficult in politics to have all people as friends. I think it is the nature of electoral politics to throw mud at each other and to criticise each others. I am not saying that I am correct and others are wrong or I am good and others are bad. It is politics and politics is a dirty game and I had my share of experience. People who appreciated me once upon a time are now criticising me and people who have once supported me are now condemning me for some reason. I think it is okay. Whatever I have experienced it is a good learning for me. I have a long future ahead of me and I whatever I do I have learnt one lesson that we must not forget the basic lessons in our lives, we must respect the elders and senior in our society who have played their respective roles at their respective phase of life when our society was in time of need and was in a Crisis.

Not BJP, not Congress not MNF all political parties are equal. All leaders from respective parties have contributed to our Chakma society at different times and different circumstances. We must remember the sacrifices of our social workers, political leaders and social elders. In just a short span of 10 years of my social and political life I have learnt the responsibilities, sacrifices and importance of our seniors, elders and social workers and leaders.

I don't know if I may get another opportunity or not but today I take this opportunity to apologise to all our seniors and elders and all my dear friends and wellwishers, if I have hurt their feelings with my words or actions. I also seek their forgiveness for my mistake and believe that they will be kind enough to forgive me.

Today morning I had talked with Nirupam Da on the phone and had a very long discussion. He is a very senior political leader and I have always admired him since I was a child. Because we are from the same party, I had the opportunity to work with him and I am very thankful to him for his kindness and his constant guidance.

I appeal to all that we must avoid blaming each other and criticising this party and that party. We are a very small community and a small family. Which ever political party we may be representing, we must try our best to serve our Chakma Jaad in the best possible manner through our political parties whichever may be in power or position. We must try to stop this negative politics and start value based positive politics that will be beneficial for the entire Chakma Jaad.

Not BLACK DAY, 17 August should be New Hope Day for Chakma Community in India.

Gandhi ji was so strongly opposed to partition of India in 1947 that Gandhi ji told Maulana Azad on 03/03/1947 “If the Congress wishes to accept partition, it will be over my dead body. So long as I am alive, I will never agree to the partition of India. Nor will I, if I can help it, allow the Congress to accept it". Partition was unfortunate and very painful but an irreversible event in the history of India. But some elements of our society feel that they are greater than our freedom fighters and want to undo the Partition of India. These elements also underestimate the understanding of the founding fathers of our Independent nation and also question the ability of our Chakma freedom fighters at that time. It is a disrespect to the efforts of our Chakma Freedom fighters like Mr Sneha Kumar Chakma when we observe BLACK DAY after 72 years of the partition of India, when we highlight that our Chakma community in India has not been able to move on with the times in the largest democracy in the world. It is a very regressive approach depicted by some elements of our society that are drenched in selfish motive to malign the image of he Chakma community in India. After 70 YEARS these elements wake up of deep slumber when our PM Narendra Modi ji has announced to celebrate Amrit Utsav on completion of 75 years of independence of India. It is time to move on with the nation towards a bright future rather than to dwell in despair, tragedy and hopeless irreversible history. Leadership should inspire the people towards hope and brighter future.
